Who We Are
We are a well established family-run property investment and development company that is an emerging market leader, having invested from the ground up in many segments of the market, offering an impressive and diverse portfolio of premium property comprising; retail, commercial, industrial, residential, offices, holiday letting and student accommodation in certain parts of South Africa. Our properties are managed and operated by our own management company. Our board of directors consists of: Mohammed Yusuf Ibrahim Kamdar, our chairman who started his first business in 1987 - gaining invaluable experience that set the foundation for the group; Tahir Kamdar, our chief executive officer, and Mahomed Tehseen Kamdar, our chief operating officer.
What We Do
Our group focuses on inner city regeneration, property development, management and sales. We specialise in land and property acquisitions and investment, property asset management, facilities management, retail commercial-industrial property development, residential conversions, project management, hospitality/leisure include sales and letting, site acquisition, new developments and new property marketing. Our property management also includes caretaking, maintenance and refurbishment, rent collection, compliance and tenancy renewals, investments and urban renewals.

Our skilled and experienced team of specialised portfolio managers innovatively push the boundaries of property development and have the capacity to resolve any relative challenges. Our years of experience allow us to anticipate and reduce risks to factors that have already been addressed, and our excellent management tactics keep these under control. We understand that the longer our projects take to complete, the more expensive it will be, and we therefore do our best to efficiently manage and control it. In terms of our industrial developments, we recognise the significance of intermodal nodes and understand the mechanics of logistics and supply, hence we take pride in establishing facilities with exceptional access to road, rail, sea, and air transportation. We strategically structure our industrial developments surrounding infrastructure that allow for both speed and connectivity; for example, we try to centre our Durban developments around the emerging aerotropolis in the city’s sought-after Northern Urban Development Corridor (NUDC). With regard to commercial developments, we strive to create a benchmark and set a new trend with our standout office developments of Premium Grade standards.

Our business model is based on land and property aquisitions and management for directors and shareholders of the Kamdar Group only. We are less interested in aquiring or managing assets for anybody other than ourselves. Our target is to let key industry players know that we are solid investors, acquirers, developers and landlords.
Where We’re Based
Our head offices are based in Pietermaritzburg and Durban; we specialise in these areas, as well as other parts of KwaZulu-Natal. We also have properties in Johannesburg and have a significant interest in Cape Town’s investment opportunities.
